My current practice took shape after studying plant medicine, which introduced me to foraging on Vancouver Island and across the Canadian Rockies, a practice I continued since moving back to Montreal. Years of close attention to the natural world found its way into my art, first through landscape and nature photography, where I became drawn to night skies, patterns, textures, and the abstract qualities hidden in natural surfaces, and later into material-based processes on textiles and paper. What started as a a need to document my process to be able to reproduce outcomes while working with natural materials that are difficult to control ended up taking me on a whole different journey through the world of abstract textures and macro photography.

This project documents the patterns, surfaces, and textures found in both natural and urban environments. Fossils, bark, rust, patina, or the incidental beauty of oil swirling in a dirty pan are photographed up close, some losing their identity entirely under the lens. The series is driven by a fascination with decay and transformation, and by the way similar patterns appear across wildly different materials.
Many of these subjects are fleeting. A dandelion about to lose its last seeds, a piece of metal mid-corrosion, pigments caught mid-extraction. The awareness that what I am looking at may be gone or transformed by tomorrow is part of what keeps me present and attentive, always scanning my surroundings for something worth capturing before it disappears. This archive forms the foundation of my broader practice in fibres, feeding directly into my work with natural dyeing, pigment extraction, handmade paper, textiles, and sculptural elements in wood, metal, and concrete.

Documenting reproducible outcomes
A lot of the creative process revolves around experimentation and research, so I have to document my entire process to make sure the colors, textures and effects can be reproduced.
Every experiment is logged into a database, while inks and pigments are stored to test how they age over time.

An exploration of chemical reactions between iron salts, botanical inks, minerals, natural pigments, rust and acids on paper.
This project aims to retrace the exploratory research methods of early alchemists, who worked with reactive, corrosive, and chromatic substances, in an attempt to document the fleeting beauty of chemical reactions on paper. Each piece preserves the optimal, transient state generated by the interaction between iron salts and elements of varying pH, documenting the processes of chaos and decay.

My landscape photography is a practice of cultivated solitude and a pursuit of inner peace. I am drawn to remote, isolated places where the noise of the world fades, allowing for a direct and personal encounter with the environment.
In an era of constant overstimulation, I seeks out landscapes where silence and space dominate, composing minimalist scenes that reveal more by showing less.
Many of my photo works are composite images that often require days of editing.
